The Master List Browser

(Description provided below the image)
Master List Table Browser

This is the master list browser. The master list contains all the names and addresses of all the people and organizations in your community including members, vendors, employees, volunteers and anyone else of interest, similar to the phone book. From here you can select any individual by simply typing the name of that individual (last name first, please) and watching the browser jump to the first name that matches your keystrokes.

The buttons at the bottom of the table control its behaviour. Most of the buttons control how the master list is sequenced for lookups.

Looking for an organization? Just click on the Organization button to sequence the master list by organization and type the organization name. You can also look up people or firms by reference number (which can be a user-supplied or system assigned number), by email address, by city, by zip/postal code, by any of the telephone numbers associated with the master list record or by either of two completely unique key sets that you create (for example, you might want to sequence the master list by member class and then date joined within that class).

The Find Invoice button opens a dialog and allows you to enter an invoice number (either accounts payable or accounts receivable) and will find the first master list record with a matching invoice number in either ledger. Not the right one? Click Find Invoice again, and click the Next button to find the next matching record. The Find P.O. button does the same thing for purchase orders.

The Filter button allows you to display only master list records that match some criteria that you supply. For example, you might want to see all master list records where the individual's first name is James. The Filter button allows you to do just that. Finally, the report button allows you to run a user-defined report using the visible records in the master list as the source records for the report.

Finally you can click the View/Edit button to display the Master List Record Detail window.
